Clear Covers
Clear report covers are generally made from a rigid tear-resistant calendered PVC.
PVC offers a very good surface quality as well as excellent optical clarity.
PVC covers lie flat as well as punch easily and cleanly.
We also offer heat stabilized clear polyester covers – used on thermal binding systems such as Unibind.
Backing Boards
Black vinyl backs are made from an extremely durable opaque rigid vinyl.
Extra heavy weight 19 mil sheets have a single side leatherette embossed surface. The covers lie flat as well as punch easily and cleanly.
Composition covers are an environmentally friendly product! Heavy embossed cards are manufactured using 25% recycled material, plus 10% post consumer waste. Backing board cards can be recycled as paper at the end of their useful life.
Coil Bindings
Documents bound with helical coil can open flat on a desk.Coil binding (also known as spiral binding) offers 360 degree page rotation for easy note taking.
This binding style is very durable. Coil binding is often used for documents that need to be mailed because plastic coil does not crush like wire or comb binding. Spiral spines are available in more colors and sizes than other binding styles.
Coil binding is a commonly used book binding style for creating:
- Documents
- Presentations
- Proposals

- 19 rings – US Letter size
- 21 rings – A4 size
We offer an extensive selection of plastic binding combs in a wide variety of sizes.

Wire Bindings
Wire binding is one of the most popular commercial book binding methods used in North America.
With this binding method, users insert their punched pages onto a “C” shaped spine and then use a wire closer to squeeze the spine until it is round.
Of all the binding systems available, wire is one of the most professional looking.
Wire bound documents are completely secure, yet the pages open easily and can be laid flat or even turned through 360 degrees for easy reference and photo copying.
Wire binding is known by a number of different names including:

VeloBindings
Velobinding involves a strip of plastic with rigid tines that are inserted into the holes from the face side of the book, matched with a strip with corresponding holes placed on the back.
The book is then placed into a machine that holds the book tightly while the excess length of the tines is cut and the tips melted to seal the bind.
The term “VeloBind” is a trademark of GBC, but is often used generically to refer to this process, though the term “strip binding” is also used.
With VeloBind, you can add a permanent sleek, professional look to all of your reports and presentations.
Fastback® Tape Binding
Fastback® tape binding uses a revolutionary thermal adhesive bind to create strong, beautiful tape bound documents and books.
UniBind
Unibind thermal binding utilizes “SteelBinding” technology.
This binding method uses resin rather than glue, in a steel channel to bind document pages together.
Unibind provides a permanent binding for hardcover, paperback and photo books.
