Lamination: Thermal (Hot)
MtM’s thermal lamination films offer water resistance, scuff and tear resistance, as well as enhanced useful life by limiting the color changing effects of extended exposure to UV rays.
Thermal lamination utilizes a heat sensitive adhesive and polyester film of varying thicknesses to encapsulate the graphic in a waterproof barrier.
No matter the quality of the graphic produced, it can be enhanced for both presentation and durability by the addition of a protective laminate surface.
Our thermal films are available in pouch format for the protection of smaller documents from business and ID card sizes up to tabloid or menu size documents.
Available in a variety of thicknesses from 3 mil up to 10 mil, pouch lamination films create a seal around all four edges of a document to provide a moisture proof border quickly and easily, using compact and affordable, pouch lamination machines.
Thermal lamination films are also available in rolls for the protection of larger size graphics as well as to facilitate longer production runs.
Our roll laminates come in two temperature ranges to allow protection for different types of graphics:
- Higher temperature films are designed to run at temperatures from 220 to 300 degrees for color copy and standard paper prints.
- Low temperature films are designed to activate at a range from 175 -195 degrees to protect ink jet and latex produced prints.
